Located at the "Top of the South",
Marlborough is in the centre of New Zealand and can be reached by air, land or sea
transportation services.
The long-established Interisland Line and more
recently-launched Bluebridge Cook Strait Ferry take passengers and their vehicles across
Cook Strait every day. Allow three hours for the scenic voyage.
For a faster crossing, catch a Sounds Air flight
between Picton and Wellington or book a seat between Blenheim and Wellington with Air New
Zealand or Origin Pacific. Both routes take 25 minutes.
Rental car firms in Marlborough have a range of
vehicles for hire, while access around the sounds is made easy by sightseeing cruise boats
and water taxis. |
